FULL STORY< "Biden vs. Trump: The Unwanted Rematch No One Asked For"

Joe Biden is expected to announce his candidacy for president in 2024. However, according to an NBC News survey, 70% of Americans, including 51% of Democrats, don't want him to run. Even 53% of those who voted for him in 2020 and 76% of voters under 35 believe it's time for Joe to retire. The reason behind this is his age and his ability to do the job. Meet The Press host Chuck Todd was stunned by the poll results.

The Democratic Party's reasoning behind supporting Biden is pure cynicism. They know Americans are just as disgusted with the thought of voting for Donald Trump. They believe that in a contest between two terrible choices, Joe has the edge because he is marginally less unpopular than Trump.

However, both Biden and Trump are symbolic of a corrosive malaise – this partisan fistfight that has been seething for years. There is a visceral, growing distrust among citizens. There is declining faith in institutions, and there is simmering hatred for the media.

Trump cannot be disconnected from the shame of the January 6th riots, while Biden is under serious suspicions of corruption involving his family. His campaign is also alleged to have meddled in the press coverage of his son Hunter's laptop.

The hope of an insurgent Democratic candidate is also looking like a pipe dream. When RFK Jr., an anti-vaxxer with self-admitted 'lust demons,' and Marianne Williamson, an accused rage-addict, self-help guru, are the great liberal hopes, then there isn't much hope at all.

In conclusion, if it comes down to these two men - no matter who wins, we lose. We will end up with a president that a majority of the country has already rejected. Moreover, according to an NBC poll, 71% of all Americans said they believed that the country is on the wrong track. The situation looks bleak, and it seems like we are on the wrong planet.
