Karen Gillan, known for her roles in popular films such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Jumanji, and Doctor Who, has finally shared the news of her marriage that took place nine months ago at Scotland's Castle Toward.
Gillan, who had not publicly acknowledged her big day, posted three pictures on her Instagram account - one featuring her in a beautiful white gown, another of a man playing the bagpipes, and a third showcasing her bridesmaids, Katie Parker and Mali Elfman, who also starred alongside her in the movie Next Exit.
In her caption, she tagged wedding photographer Holly Clark and simply wrote "Last May..." In a separate post, Clark shared a photo of Gillan from the morning of her wedding day, calling her "beautiful" and revealing that the speeches were some of the funniest she had ever heard.
Wedding producer Sarah Haywood also shared Gillan's photos on her Instagram account, calling the Scottish wedding an "adventure." She praised the "dream team" who managed to keep the secret all this time, adding that "teamwork really does make the dream work."
Gillan recently spoke about her excitement for her upcoming film, Late Bloomers, which will be shown at the South by Southwest festival next month. The actress expressed her love for the movie, which follows the story of an aimless 28-year-old Brooklynite who ends up in the hospital after breaking her hip.
She then takes up a job caring for a cranky elderly Polish woman who speaks no English, leading both of them to learn some valuable life lessons.
