Emily Ratajkowski: ‘I don’t really believe in straight people’

In a recent interview, American model Emily Ratajkowski stated that she does not believe in straight people.

The comment was made in an interview with Harper's Bazaar for the November issue of the publication.

The publication questioned Ratajkowski about a TikTok craze that makes fun of bisexual women who possess green couches.

Ratajkowski replied, "I believe that sexuality is a sliding spectrum. I don't actually think that heterosexual people exist.

Ratajkowski, a 31-year-old recent single mother, continued by saying that the subject came up when her partner stopped by and noticed her big green couch.

"My girlfriend came over and was like, 'B**ch, have you seen the green-couch thing?'" Ratajkowski recalled. She was making fun of me for having such a large green couch.

The model also expressed a wish to enjoy herself and not feel pressured to live up to stereotypes or expectations when it comes to how she displays herself to the public.

I want to be able to have fun with how I portray myself to the public without worrying about whether I'm a good or bad feminist, she said. Duh.

"If you don't want to have me, I don't want to be a member of your club. It's alright!

Ratajkowski stated that her son's happiness and wellness are now her top priorities. She and film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard are parents to one-year-old Sylvester Apollo.

After being married in 2018, the pair filed for divorce in September. I've never had such distinct priorities in my life, Ratajkowski remarked. Sly is ranked first, and that is all.

The model also discussed how becoming a mother has altered her outlook. It's forced me to reassess what's essential to me, like what do I want to educate my children, she said.

Ratajkowski is stepping into the realm of podcasts in addition to being a mother and a model. This week will mark the premiere of her new program, High Low with EmRata.

With two episodes available to all listeners and a third episode available only to premium subscribers, she will address a variety of themes and bring in guest speakers.

Ratajkowski compared the program to a cross between Fresh Air and Call Her Daddy. In a section called EmRata Asks, she also announced that she would be doing solo episodes.

There will be a lot of material on women since it is what Ratajkowski is interested in, she said. To be completely honest, I adore it.

The model has been dating since Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard filed for divorce, but she isn't willing to talk about the specifics of her breakup with the film producer out of respect for their son's privacy.

I can assure you that I have never been single before, Ratajkowski remarked. I experience every feeling. I'm sad and angry. I experience elation. I'm happy. I sense humor. Every day is unique.

The only thing I know to be true is that I am experiencing all of those positive emotions, which is fantastic because it gives me hope that everything will be okay.
