Following his attendance at the Jake Paul versus Tommy Fury fight, Cristiano Ronaldo, who currently plays football in Saudi Arabia, has caused a stir amongst Manchester United fans.
This comes just hours after United's triumphant win at the Carabao Cup, with the team's first trophy since 2017. The club's success has continued to escalate throughout the season, despite Ronaldo's explosive exit at the end of the previous year.
Nonetheless, some United fans have expressed their disappointment with the Al-Nassr star, claiming that he could have been present to lift the trophy. One fan, in particular, ridiculed Ronaldo's supposed fall from grace, stating that he opted to watch a Jake Paul boxing match instead of joining his former teammates in celebrating their win.
However, another fan came to Ronaldo's defense, pointing out that he had already won everything and that a mere energy drink trophy would not make a significant difference. Another fan humorously speculated that Ronaldo was watching photos of the trophy on his phone.
Nonetheless, despite his absence, United is still performing well, and Ronaldo seems to be enjoying his time away from the club. He recently scored a first-half hat-trick during his latest Al-Nassr game and is currently ranked high amongst the leading goal scorers in the Saudi Pro League, with four goals in one game earlier this month.
Despite not being in attendance, Ronaldo watched as Fury won a split decision victory over Paul, even though the latter knocked Fury down in the final round.
